Hello and welcome to my website
I am a writer, historian, and doctoral researcher at the University of Oxford.
My DPhil is focused on understanding everyday life in Britain during the Second World War, with a particular focus on popular morale and social unity in wartime Hampshire.
This website contains information on my research, along with related articles, book reviews, and details of any upcoming events or publications.
In addition to my academic work, I also write about British history, politics and contemporary society. I am particularly interested in how the past shapes modern debates on national identity, security issues and popular culture.
My writing has appeared in Spear’s magazine.
